anatomy and yoga workshop: saturday, 12 december 2009

i am happy to announce that there will be an anatomy and yoga workshop, taught by damien de bastier, on saturday, 12 december from 12pm – 2pm.

this workshop costs 30 euros (25 euros for students of casaAbhyasa).

*This workshop will cultivate an understanding of western anatomy in relation to the yogic body. With hands-on explorations, we will apply this anatomical awareness and insight to the yoga asana practice. In this session, the anatomy principles will focus primarily on the bones and muscles of the lower limbs and pelvis in order to access their maximum potential and simultaneously insure safety around the ankles, knees, and hips. Although we will be relating mostly to the ashtanga yoga practice and practitioner, this workshop is open to all levels and to practitioners of all yoga paths. PLEASE NOTE, THIS WORKSHOP WILL BE TAUGHT IN ENGLISH.
*Damien de Bastier is an ashtanga yoga practitioner and teacher, authorized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath in Mysore, India. He is also an experienced bodyworker and sees both the yoga mat and the massage table as laboratories in which we can experiment and cultivate awareness. He believes that developing sensitivity to what is experienced in the moment is the cornerstone to a healthy and vibrant life. He enjoys sharing his fascination for the body/mind connection with compassion, humor, and insight.

as space is limited, it is necessary to register for this workshop in advance with damien at: damien@8yoga.com or 666 365 802.

i hope that you will take the opportunity to attend this workshop!
take care… much love and peace… namaste, hojung
